Who we are
Chrono Curiosity is a trading style of Pinnacle UK Trading Ltd, registered in Glasgow, Scotland (Company SC802873). The business was founded by watchmakers with two decades in the trade, building on long-running relationships with European parts distributors, certified workshops, and trusted independent repairers.

The honesty promise
The Rolex parts market is full of euphemisms — "Rolex-style," "compatible," "service-grade" — that hide more than they reveal. We do the opposite. Every listing on our site falls into exactly one of three clearly-labelled tiers:
Factory Genuine
Manufactured by Rolex SA. Identical to what an Authorised Service Centre would fit — hallmarks match, weight is to specification, serials laser-etched in the correct depth and font. We do not buy these from Rolex's official service network (which only supplies authorised centres). They come from the secondary market: new-old-stock pieces that never reached an end customer, parts carefully harvested from genuine donor watches, and direct trade contacts. Used where authenticity is the buyer's main concern — common requests are bracelet end-links, original-fit dials for re-cased pieces, and genuine crown gaskets.
Custom Refurbished
Genuine Rolex base components, professionally restored to original specification. Same materials, same tolerances, often lower price than NOS — useful where new factory parts are difficult to source or where budget is a constraint. Each refurbished part is listed with the work that has been done.
Premium Aftermarket
High-quality non-Rolex parts produced by specialist horological suppliers — used where factory parts are unobtainable, where the buyer prefers a stylistic variant (e.g. a meteorite dial), or where commercial reality makes aftermarket the practical choice. We disclose this on every aftermarket listing and recommend it only when it's appropriate.
How we authenticate
Before any Factory Genuine listing goes live, our team — with 20+ years in the trade — examines the part against the reference standards we keep in-house. Where doubt exists, we either downgrade the listing to Refurbished or Aftermarket, or we don't list it at all.
Buyers can request authentication details before purchase — email info@therolexlab.com with the SKU you're considering and we'll share what we know.
Trade and B2B
A significant share of our sales is to independent watchmakers and repair shops, including (with permission to name):
- Watch Repair Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne
- Roman Watch Repairs, Hatton Garden, London
- Horological Gear, Zeewolde, Netherlands
- Willesden Jewellers, London
- County Jewellers, Calne, Wiltshire
- Officialwatches, Duke Street, London
- The Watch Company, Japan
- The Watch Barn
If you are a trade buyer who needs volume pricing or rapid sourcing of a specific reference, please email us — we keep a separate trade-channel rate card.
Where we are going
We are progressively building out the catalogue to cover the most-serviced Rolex calibres (3135, 3235, 4130, 3285, 3186, and successors) and the most-collected references in the Submariner, GMT-Master II, Datejust, Daytona, Explorer, Oyster Perpetual, and Yacht-Master collections. Stock cycles fast — if a part you need is not listed, ask.
