Terms and Conditions

Version 2.0 — effective 7 August 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Chrono Curiosity website and every contract for the sale of goods between us. Chrono Curiosity is a trading style of Pinnacle UK Trading Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom (Company Registration: SC802873).

Company Details:

  • Trading Name: Chrono Curiosity
  • Company: Pinnacle UK Trading Ltd
  • Registration: SC802873
  • Address: 6th Floor Gordon Chambers, 90 Mitchell Street, Glasgow, United Kingdom, G1 3NQ
  • Contact: info@therolexlab.com

By placing an order you confirm that you have read, understood and accept these Terms — in particular Section 6 (Returns and Refunds), Section 7 (Inspection on Arrival and Damage in Transit) and Section 8 (Fitting and Installation). Our checkout requires you to confirm this before payment can be taken, and we record the version of these Terms in force together with the date and time of your acceptance against your order.

2. About Our Services

Chrono Curiosity, incorporated in 2024, specializes in the supply of premium Rolex parts and components, including:

  • Genuine Rolex replacement parts sourced through the secondary market and trade channels
  • Professionally refurbished dials
  • High-quality aftermarket service parts
  • Genuine used service parts and dials
  • Authentic bracelet links and components
  • Parts authentication and verification services

3. Product Authenticity

We are committed to transparency regarding our products:

  • Genuine Parts: Authentic Rolex components, clearly marked as such
  • Refurbished Parts: Professionally restored components with full disclosure of work performed
  • Aftermarket Parts: High-quality replacement parts clearly identified as non-genuine
  • Used Parts: Previously used genuine components with condition clearly described

4. Ordering and Payment

  • All orders are subject to acceptance by Chrono Curiosity. Your order is an offer to buy; a binding contract is formed when we confirm dispatch.
  • Prices are quoted in GBP and are subject to change without notice.
  • Payment is required in full before dispatch. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
  • We reserve the right to cancel and refund an order in full if payment cannot be processed, if the item is no longer available, or if we identify a pricing or description error.
  • We record against each order the version of these Terms in force at the time of purchase and the date and time on which you confirmed your acceptance of them at checkout.

5. Shipping and Delivery

  • We ship worldwide from our UK base.
  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout. All shipments are tracked and insured for the value of the goods.
  • Delivery times vary by destination and shipping method.
  • Where you buy as a consumer, the goods remain at our risk until they are delivered into your physical possession. Where you buy in the course of a business, risk passes on dispatch.
  • International buyers are responsible for customs duties, import taxes and clearance charges.
  • Please keep all outer and inner packaging until you are satisfied with the goods. See Section 7.

6. Returns and Refunds

In short: to qualify for a refund, a part must be unfitted and unused, and must reach us in exactly the condition in which we supplied it. If a part has already been fitted, a refund may still be possible — but only if the part comes back in that same condition. We do not refund, replace or credit parts that have been damaged during fitting.

Watch parts are precision components. Once a link has been sized, a pin driven, a dial's feet seated or a movement part installed, the part carries tool marks, wear and stress that cannot be undone, and we can no longer supply it to anyone else as the part you bought. That is why the condition in which a part reaches us decides the outcome of a return.

6.1 Your legal right to cancel (consumers)

If you are a consumer buying at a distance, you have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of the day you — or someone you nominate — receive the goods, without giving a reason. You then have a further 14 days to send the goods back. To cancel, email info@therolexlab.com with your order number and a clear statement that you are cancelling. You may use the cancellation form at the end of these Terms, but you are not required to.

You are entitled to handle and inspect the goods as you would in a shop. If you handle them beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning — which includes fitting them, or attempting to fit them — we are entitled by law to reduce your refund by an amount reflecting the loss in value. Where a part comes back scratched, marked, cut, bent, distorted or otherwise no longer saleable as supplied, that reduction may be up to the full price of the goods.

Nothing in these Terms removes or limits your statutory rights.

6.2 Our voluntary returns windows

In addition to the legal right above, we offer:

  • Factory Genuine parts — 30 days from receipt
  • Custom Refurbished and Premium Aftermarket parts — 14 days from receipt

These voluntary windows apply only to goods that are unfitted, unused and in their original packaging, and are offered on the conditions set out below.

6.3 Condition requirements — unfitted and unused

To receive a full refund, the returned part must be:

  • Unfitted — never installed, seated, screwed, pressed, driven, sized or fixed to a watch, bracelet, movement or case, and never partially fitted
  • Unused — free of tool marks, scratches, scuffs, burrs, bends, distortion, adhesive, lubricant or polishing
  • Complete — with any screws, pins, tubes, gaskets, washers, protective film and documentation supplied with it
  • In its original packaging — including any sealed capsule, blister, envelope or numbered bag it arrived in

Every return is inspected on arrival, under magnification, before a refund is approved.

6.4 Parts that have been fitted

If a part has been fitted, or an attempt has been made to fit it, a refund may still be considered — but only where the part is returned in exactly the same condition as we supplied it, showing no trace of the fitting. In practice this is uncommon, and the decision rests with us following inspection.

Where a fitted part shows any deterioration, we may:

  • refund a reduced amount reflecting the value of the part in its returned condition; or
  • decline the return and send the part back to you at your cost.

6.5 Parts damaged during fitting

Under no circumstances do we refund, replace or credit a part that has been damaged during fitting, removal, sizing or adjustment. This includes, without limitation, parts that have been:

  • scratched, marked or burred by tools, tweezers, pushers, presses or movement holders
  • cut, filed, drilled, bent, over-tightened, cross-threaded or force-fitted
  • fitted with the wrong screws, pins or tooling, or fitted to a reference the part was not supplied for
  • damaged at the dial feet, hands, tension ring, gasket seat, thread or pin channel
  • polished, refinished, re-lumed, laser-welded or otherwise altered after delivery

Fitting is a skilled operation, and its outcome rests with whoever carries it out. We have no control over the tools, technique or working conditions applied once a part leaves us, and we accept no responsibility for damage that occurs at that stage. See Section 8.

6.6 Parts we cannot accept back

  • Parts that have been damaged during fitting (Section 6.5)
  • Parts that have been modified, cut to size, polished, refinished or otherwise altered
  • Parts made, sourced or refinished to your specification as a bespoke order
  • Parts returned incomplete, or without their original packaging
  • Parts returned outside the applicable window without prior agreement

6.7 Business and trade customers

Where you buy in the course of a business, trade or profession, the consumer cancellation right in Section 6.1 does not apply. Returns are accepted at our discretion on the conditions set out in Sections 6.3 to 6.6, and parts that have been fitted, worked on or damaged are not returnable in any circumstances.

6.8 How to return an item

  1. Email info@therolexlab.com with your order number, the SKU and the reason for return before sending anything back. Returns sent without prior contact may be delayed or refused.
  2. We will confirm the return address and give you a return reference.
  3. Pack the part in its original packaging, inside a protective outer, and send it tracked and insured for its full value.
  4. Return shipping is at your cost, unless the part was faulty, misdescribed or sent in error — in which case we cover it.
  5. Goods remain your responsibility until they reach us. We recommend photographing the part and the packed parcel before you send it.

6.9 Refunds

  • Approved refunds are made to the original payment method.
  • Refunds are processed within 14 days of us receiving the returned goods, or of you providing evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier.
  • Where a deduction applies under Section 6.1 or 6.4, we will tell you the amount and the reason before refunding.
  • On a full cancellation under Section 6.1 we refund outbound shipping at our standard rate; where you chose an upgraded or express service, we refund the standard rate only.

7. Inspection on Arrival and Damage in Transit

Every order leaves us checked, photographed and packed to survive transit, and every shipment is tracked and insured.

7.1 Inspect before you fit

Please open, inspect and photograph your part before any attempt is made to fit it. Once fitting has begun, it is no longer possible for us — or for a carrier, insurer or payment provider — to establish whether damage was present on arrival or was caused during fitting.

7.2 Reporting damage

If your part arrives damaged, or the parcel arrives damaged or opened, tell us at info@therolexlab.com within 48 hours of delivery, and before fitting is attempted. Retain all packaging until the claim is resolved.

7.3 Evidence we need

To investigate a damage-on-arrival claim, we require clear, in-focus photographs of:

  1. The outer packaging as it arrived, from all sides, showing the shipping label and any damage to the box or envelope
  2. The inner packaging and protective materials, as found
  3. The part as removed from the packaging, before any attempt to fit it — front and back
  4. Close-ups of the damage itself
  5. Any sealed capsule, blister or bag, and its condition

We may also ask for the parcel's dimensions and weight, or ask you to return the part and its packaging to us for inspection so that we can pursue the carrier.

7.4 Claims we cannot accept

We are unable to accept a damage-on-arrival claim where:

  • the part has already been fitted, or fitting has been attempted
  • the packaging has been discarded
  • the photographs listed in Section 7.3 cannot be provided
  • the claim is first raised more than 30 days after delivery

A claim of damage on arrival made after fitting has been attempted will be treated as damage caused during fitting, and Section 6.5 applies.

If you are a consumer, this Section sets out the process we ask you to follow so that a claim can be investigated. It does not affect your statutory rights in respect of goods that were faulty, damaged or not as described when they were supplied to you.

8. Fitting and Installation

  • Our parts are components supplied for professional fitting. They are sold on the basis that they will be fitted by a qualified watchmaker using the correct tools.
  • By placing an order you confirm that you, or the person who will fit the part, have the necessary skill, tooling and experience.
  • Fitting is entirely at your own risk. Check the part against your watch — reference, dimensions, finish, thread, pin diameter — before beginning work. Fitting a part is treated as your acceptance that it is correct, as described, and undamaged.
  • We do not guarantee compatibility with any particular watch, reference or movement. Compatibility information on this site is given in good faith as a guide. If you are unsure, email us before ordering and we will check for you.
  • We are not responsible for the cost of fitting or removal, for the labour of any third party, or for damage to your watch, movement, bracelet, case or any other component arising from the fitting or removal of a part we supplied.

9. Warranties and Disclaimers

  • Genuine parts are covered by standard manufacturer warranties where applicable.
  • Refurbished parts carry a 90-day warranty against manufacturing defects, running from the date of delivery.
  • Any warranty covers the part itself only. It does not cover labour, fitting, removal, fault diagnosis or consequential damage.
  • Any warranty is void where the part has been damaged during fitting or removal, modified, refinished, fitted to a reference it was not supplied for, or fitted by a person without the necessary skill and tooling.
  • Where a warranty claim is made we may require the part to be returned for inspection and, where fitting is in issue, a written report from an independent qualified watchmaker.
  • If you are a consumer, nothing in this Section affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our liability to you in connection with any order is limited to the purchase price of the goods concerned. We are not liable for:

  • Consequential, indirect or economic loss
  • Loss of use or enjoyment
  • Damage caused by fitting, removal, adjustment or improper installation
  • Damage to a timepiece, movement or component during service or fitting by you or a third party
  • Any loss in value of a timepiece

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

11. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

We would always rather resolve a problem directly, and quickly.

  • Contact us first. Email info@therolexlab.com with your order number. We aim to respond within one business day and to resolve any legitimate issue within five.
  • A chargeback is not a substitute for the returns process. Raising a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us and following Sections 6 and 7 is a breach of these Terms.
  • Goods must be returned. Where a refund is agreed, or a dispute is raised in respect of goods that were delivered, the goods must be returned to us in accordance with Section 6. Where a payment dispute is upheld and the goods have not been returned, we reserve the right to recover the goods, or their value as a debt, together with any fees and reasonable costs we incur.
  • We defend disputes. Where a payment dispute is raised, we submit to the payment provider and card issuer: these Terms as accepted by you at checkout, with the version and time of acceptance; the order and payment record; proof of dispatch, tracking and delivery; the product listing as it stood at the time of sale; all correspondence; and any photographs provided.
  • Damage during fitting. We do not refund parts damaged during fitting (Section 6.5), and we will defend a payment dispute raised on that basis.
  • We reserve the right to decline future orders from any customer who raises a payment dispute without following this process.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on this website is protected by copyright and trademark laws.

We are not an authorised dealer of, and are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Rolex SA or Rolex UK Ltd. Rolex is a registered trademark of Rolex SA. References to Rolex model names, reference numbers and calibres are made solely to describe the fitment and compatibility of the parts we supply.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms, and any contract made under them, are governed by the law of Scotland, and the courts of Scotland have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your own jurisdiction, and you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection rules of the country in which you live.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the version in force and displayed on this page at the time you place it, and we record that version against your order.

15. Contact Information

For questions about these Terms, or to start a return or report damage in transit, contact us at info@therolexlab.com.
